Can BatchMint convert PNG to WebP?
Yes. Static PNG input can be converted to WebP locally, including transparent pixels.

The current workspace accepts JPEG, PNG and WebP input and outputs JPEG, PNG, WebP or AVIF. JPEG suits photographs, PNG suits lossless graphics, and WebP or AVIF can reduce web delivery size when compatibility fits the destination.
The best output depends on the image content and the destination. No format is smallest or highest quality for every image.

PNG, WebP and AVIF can contain alpha transparency. JPEG cannot contain alpha, so BatchMint composites transparent pixels onto the selected background color before JPEG encoding.
