A real image batch is more than one compression setting

A folder of product or web images often needs several connected decisions: correct the orientation, choose a useful maximum width, decide whether transparency must remain, select an output format, add a consistent watermark, create predictable filenames and inspect the result before publishing. Repeating those steps in separate upload-based tools takes time and makes the data boundary difficult to follow.

BatchMint keeps the sequence in one browser workspace. The current pipeline identifies each file, corrects JPEG orientation, resizes, applies an optional watermark, encodes, renames and exports. Applicable steps can be disabled, but their order remains fixed so a preset produces a repeatable result.

What the site still requests

The browser downloads the static site, styles, fonts, service worker and codec assets. Public explanatory pages can load approved analytics, advertising and consent resources. The processing workspace is noindex and does not load the AdSense site script.

Measured evidence, with limits

BatchMint publishes deterministic fixtures, encoder versions, settings and exact output bytes. In the current opaque fixture, JPEG quality 82 was smaller than WebP quality 82. In the simple transparent fixture, OxiPNG level 2 was smaller than WebP quality 82. These results show why a universal “WebP is always smaller” claim would be misleading; they do not predict every photograph.
