Batch watermark Etsy listing photos

Add a consistent text or transparent PNG/WebP logo watermark to listing photos in local browser workers.

BatchMint can place one text or logo watermark across several Etsy listing photos without uploading the source files. Keep the product clear, preserve an unwatermarked master and preview likely thumbnail crops before publishing.

Use cases

Etsy's current listing-photo guidance

The Etsy Help Center page checked July 17, 2026 recommends listing photos at least 2000 pixels in both width and height. It says the first listing photo should be at least 635 pixels in both dimensions and that files larger than 1MB may be slow or fail to upload on slower connections.

Etsy supports .jpg, .gif, .png, .svg and .heic on the cited page, but says transparent PNG is not supported and transparent areas appear black. Export a flattened JPEG when the destination must not contain transparency.

Design for thumbnails and crops

Etsy recommends a horizontal or square first photo and may crop thumbnails across different placements. Keep the product and watermark away from fragile edge positions, and preview the listing thumbnail after upload.

Watermarking does not create ownership rights

A watermark can discourage casual reuse and identify a shop, but it is not a substitute for copyright records, marketplace reporting tools or legal advice.

How local browser processing works

The watermark is composited after resize and before final encoding inside a local worker. Text, logo pixels and image pixels remain in the browser. Etsy receives nothing until you manually upload the exported files.

Selected images, filenames and watermark text are not sent to a BatchMint processing server. The browser still requests the site code, styles and codec assets used on demand.

FAQ

Can I tile the watermark?

Yes. BatchMint supports adaptive tiled, staggered placement, but review legibility and product visibility before publishing.

Should I upload a transparent PNG to Etsy?

The cited Etsy Help Center page says transparent PNG is not supported and transparent areas appear black. Flatten to a suitable background when necessary.
